Vessel Suitability Advice

It is worth noting that none of the inspection processes mentioned so far have the specific requirement to assess the suitability of vessels for the tasks to be undertaken. This is particularly true of spot hired anchor-handlers which must be suitable for the work to be carried out, and it may be appropriate to independently confirm this suitability.

In mature operating areas such as the North Sea there is a tendency to assume that because there is a stream of new tonnage still entering service, anything hired will be up to the task, but militating against this is the current tendency for vessels to be built targeted at specific markets, so that not all new tonnage are super ships.

Marex is able to provide mariners with considerable experience in the operation of support vessels of all sorts, and hence are able to assist their clients in the selection of ships for any task.
